Moving your boat? Let’s plan the trip together. Captain Rick Mendez provides boat and yacht delivery along the East Coast and to the Bahamas. Whether you’ve bought a boat in another state, need to move it between seasonal homes, or want it taken to a yard or marina, Rick will discuss the route, timing, vessel, and crew needs with you before departure.

Rick is a USCG 100-Ton Master with experience delivering vessels from Florida to Maine and planning extended Bahamas trips. He has logged more than 20,000 nautical miles and has taught more than 3,000 boaters. You can hire him to run the delivery, or, when appropriate, travel aboard and use the passage for hands-on training on your own boat.

Delivery services

• Long-distance delivery: East Coast passages, seasonal moves, and Bahamas trips.
• Local transfers: Moves to a new marina, boatyard, service appointment, or buyer.
• Owner-aboard delivery and training: Practice navigation, boat handling, docking, and trip planning during the passage.
• Trip planning: Route, weather window, fuel stops, marina reservations, and crew requirements.
• Additional captains and crew: If Rick is unavailable or the trip calls for more crew, he can discuss a qualified captain or mate he knows.
